I assume these Todtenhöfer bikes are pre-Masovia. Because Masovia bikes started in 1929. But Todtenhöfer existed as a wholesaler since 1901 or even earlier since 1895, this I am not sure about. It would be interesting to know from when are this Todtenhöfer bikes. Maybe you can get some information about the frame number or year of the rear hub ?



I have also one question about the number plate that was mounted on the Masovia bike:

Was this originally mounted on this bike ? Or was it added later? The plate is from 1933, but the bike itself is from 1940. Does this match ? Could these number plates forwarded to other bikes?

The number plate is not originally mounted, every year the bikes got a new number after the owner had paid a year-tax.
The Todtenhöfer label on rear fender is only frame, no wheels, maybe there is only the fender from Todtenhöfer, I will check it. Also sometimes we find some unknown frames with serial numbers XXXXX (five numbers) and it is always hard to find out who has made it, perhaps now we can find some Masovias among them.
One more thing - about the Kilometerzähler on Your bike - I was wrong, it is not soviet production, it only looks like the soviet one (the lion or what animals picture/logo, this is not soviet, perhaps it is original).
