YOUNGTIMER RALLY TRACK DAY
In 2012 the Antique Automobile Club of Latvia (AAK) celebrated its 40th anniversary. Over the years we have organized hundreds of events for Club members and for people passionate about cars. This year we have set a goal to involve as much automobile clubs as possible in one event. The “Youngtimer” movement arose last year within the AAK and started to arrange events gathering members and enthusiasts of different automobile clubs. The tradition will be held alive also this year.
Therefore, on the 26th of May we would like to invite you to participate in Youngtimer Rally Track Day event. We will be glad to see different automobile clubs, their members and fans together with their youngtimer automobiles. Even if your club doesn’t have modern classic cars, we look forward to your presence at the event, as it will give you an opportunity to present yourselves, as well as take part in the regularity rallying in Biķernieki race track.
Each automobile club will be given its own territory for the display of their 3 most splendid cars, as well as accessories and other necessary goods. If your club has several modern classic cars, they will be kindly welcome to join other youngtimers.
You will have the opportunity to present your club to other participants, to introduce to the public events you organize, offer souvenirs, show photographs and develop cooperation with other automobile clubs. The most outstanding presentations shall be granted with prizes. We will also introduce you with our youngtimer movement and upcoming events.
The regularity rally will start at 12:30 o’clock in Biķernieki race track. Participants will be divided in groups taking into account the car’s production year, engine capacity and transmission type. Participants will have to carry out 3 laps maintaining a precise time in every lap. The most precise drivers will be rewarded with great prizes.
EVENT AGENDA, 26TH OF MAY:
8.00-9.45 arrival and registration
10.00 opening of the event, automobile club presentations
12:30 regularity rallying
16.00 reward ceremony
Please take note that the scheduled agenda can be changed over time.
EVENT ENTRY FEES:
10LVL per automobile.
Entry fee for regularity rallying: +5Ls
Registration deadline – the 6th of May. Registration after the 7th of May subject to a higher fee of 15Ls per automobile and +10Ls for regularity rallying.
