Tsitaat:We are reluctantly having to sell our beautiful Moskvitch 412, which we bought this summer just outside Tallinn, Estonia. We drove it down through the Balkans and eastern Europe, across southern Europe and up through France to the UK in a 2 month journey.

This is the classic left-hand drive Soviet car, built in 1982 at the IZH factory in the Urals. It has a beautiful orange body, round headlamps (plus originals), a perfect interior, and loads of spares (including original headlamps, original hand pump and jack, 2 spare tyres, oil filters, rear seatbelts, assorted rubber seals, distributor, timing gear, wishbone assembly, speedometer cable, fire extinguisher, original Russian radio etc etc - please contact for full list.

We bought it from the original owner, a man in his 70s who kept bees and barely drove it. It had just 33,000 kms (20,500 miles) on the clock and brand new tyres. Following our journey across Europe it now reads just 40,000 kms (25,000 miles). We fitted new front brake cylinders and shoes when we got to France.

Various reliable sources have valued it at around £2000. The BBC's Top Gear recently borrowed it for filming a special on Soviet cars (to be aired in December).

Its Estonian inspection cert (MOT) ran out at the beginning of the month, so we took it in for an UK MOT last week, which it failed. We have the failure sheet, estimates on labour costs, and a list of a few parts that are needed. Essentially to pass the MOT it needs at most £350 of work, so because we're keen (but sad…) to move on we're now looking for offers in the region of £800.

Once it has its MOT it can be registered - a simple process which costs just £55, and for which we have all the forms. We also have the log book and all original Estonian documentation.

This car is a dream for any serious lover of classic Soviet cars. Apparently it is one of only 8 Moskvitch's currently on the road in the UK, and certainly the only one to have actually been driven across Europe to get here.

We are currently based in central Bristol, and please don't hesitate to get in contact if you have any questions or would like to see some photos

Postimees võiks viisakalt viidata kust info alguse sai ... aga meil pole see (viisakus) ju kombeks.

Jällegi jäi Top Gear'ile vene tehnika ette. Viimases (s12/e8) osas sõidavad saatejuhid läbi Vietnami kasutades vanemat sorti mootorrattaid, üks neist on MINSK 125
