Hi everybody! Long time since i been here, but it's fun to check in here from time to time.
I understand that questions around old swedish bikes are quite common at this forum. About a year ago a bicycle enthusiast started a register in order to try to collect info about swedish bicycles and their age, model, original finish and so on. Anyone can register as a user and tegister their biles in order to help others. The register is now part of the Swedish Bicycle Historic Club (CHF), www.cykelhistoriska.se.
Very few frame number lists exist, so this is why we try to create this by studying the correlation between frame number, date of hub or any detail that can be narrowed down as accurate as possible.
The register list brands, but also framemakers, since often a large frame maker made bicycles for several other brands. A good example is Nymans Verkstäder in Uppsala who made and/or aquired bicycle brands like Hermes, Crescent, Vega, Nordstjernan, Rambler, Drott, Gripen and many more, some of them quite familiar to you because of the export mainly before WW2.
